Dear Friends of United Israel,
Ross Nichols and I wanted to update you all on some of the exciting new developments with United Israel World Union.
As announced in our September Newsletter, which you can read here if you missed it, we are totally merging all aspects of “Roots of Faith” with United Israel. That merger is now complete and we are very excited about what is emerging. Our goal is to make unitedisrael.org the “one-stop shop” for all of our activities.
October has been an amazing month of transition with our organization. Here are a few highlights:
United Israel Center South was opened officially last weekend (October 28-30) in St Francisville, Louisiana with a grand celebration. The lovely new study center with library, office, kitchen, classrooms, and meeting space is now fully functional. Ross Nichols is devoting full time now to the many aspects of our work together. A highlight of the weekend was the dedication of a historic Torah Scroll written in 1898 that had been given to United Israel in 1965. You can read more of
the amazing origins and history of this scroll here. It will now be kept and regularly read at the St Francisville United Israel Center beginning with Genesis 1:1 on Saturday, November 5th with the inauguration of a new three-year teaching cycle, that is explained here.
Our United Israel Executive Offices in Charlotte, North Carolina also have a lovely new space with a warn and inviting reception and sitting area, archives and workspace, and the David Horowitz Memorial Library. Our location is just around the corner from the previous building but we love the new space in a professional office building. The Charlotte office will continue to function as the Headquarters of United Israel World Union worldwide.
Our United Israel Web Site has been completely redesigned with an amazing new look and feel, many new features, and lots of new fresh content. You will want to bookmark it and visit often as we are adding more materials several times a week. Check it out here: unitedisrael.org.
Our Weekly Sabbath Broadcast will resume on Youtube this coming Sabbath at 10:30/11:30 Central/Eastern time. We invite you to subscribe to our new Youtube Channel here and listen each week. There is also a “chat” feature that allows you to interact with others on-line during the broadcast for further discussion and exchange. We are in the process of uploading older content from the Roots of Faith channel to this new United Israel channel. We also now have a United Israel iTunes Podcast which you can access here.
Our Facebook United Israel Group is the best place to keep up with all the lastest news and updates related to our movement. There you will find lots of photos as well as both official posts, individual posts, comments, and discussions. We invite you to join our group here.
All Donations are now centralized to United Israel World Union. We are asking that those who formerly supported Roots of Faith continue their support, but direct it through United Israel, which will now support all our collective efforts. You can see some of the many ways your funds will be used as well as get all the information on how to donate at our new page here. All donations are tax deductible as United Israel World Union is a tax exempt 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
