In this teaching Ross continues with his study of Redemptive Figures. In this class he focuses on the terms Savior and Redeemer as well as cognates. In the introduction, he points out that words and phrases, terms and titles are often misunderstood because the seeker fails to grasp the original and intended meaning of the author of a biblical text. In addition to providing the biblical ideas behind the words, Ross shows forth examples from the texts of the Hebrew Bible for Savior and Redeemer. While ultimately, it is Jehovah who is the Savior and Redeemer, the Bible gives plenty of examples of humans who have functioned in the capacity of both of these terms. What can we learn from a careful review? Check it out.
