In the fourth class in the Messiah series, Ross continues to provide a historical framework that is necessary for a proper understanding of the biblical messiah. Beginning with the dispersion of the northern kingdom of Israel, he goes on to show that Judah failed in their mission and like Israel, was taken into captivity. Ross shows that the dispersion of Judah was prophesied to last 70 years by the prophet Jeremiah. According to the prophet, this was partly due to a failure of the people to keep the land Sabbaths commanded in the Torah. Ross connects the Jubilee of Leviticus 25 with a predicted return and then covers an account in the life of Jeremiah. He then reveals the identity of one of the bible’s most unlikely messiahs.
